No current, reliable list of professional wrestlers with no tattoos anywhere on their bodies can be built from the available reporting. The sources reviewed do not confirm any active wrestler as fully tattoo-free, and the one name that comes up most often in discussions of this topic, James Storm, is not a valid example: a 2016 interview excerpt says he has tattoos on both legs below the knees.
This article explains why the question is harder to answer than it looks, what the existing evidence does establish, and how to check a claim before repeating it.
Why a verified list does not currently exist
Three problems keep this topic from producing a dependable roster.
- Visible ink and whole-body ink are different things. A wrestler can wear ring gear that hides nearly everything, and an observer who sees only arms and torso cannot know what is under the trunks, tights, or boots.
- Statements age. An interview or photo tells you about one moment. Tattoos are added, covered, or removed over a career, so a statement from a decade ago does not describe a wrestler’s body today.
- No comprehensive source exists. We did not find a published survey, database, or reporter’s tally that covers the wrestling industry by body art. Any list presented as complete would be an assumption.
Visible in the ring is not the same as tattoo-free
A 2020 fan post about WWE pay-per-view matches assessed wrestlers by the tattoos that showed in ordinary ring gear. That is a reasonable way to describe what viewers saw on a given night. It is not evidence about the whole body, and the post does not establish that any of the wrestlers it mentions had no tattoos elsewhere.

The same distinction applies to photos and video. A wrestler photographed in a singlet, a suit, or a sleeveless shirt has shown you only the skin that was exposed in that frame.
The James Storm exclusion
Storm is often cited as a wrestler who avoided tattoos, and he has been described as having chosen not to get upper-body tattoos. The reporting that covers his interview, however, says the opposite about his legs. In a February 10, 2016 excerpt of his interview on The Ross Report, as published by Inside Pulse, Storm said:

“A lot of people don’t know that I have my legs covered [with tattoos] from the knees down on both legs.”
The excerpt supports one specific point: Storm has leg tattoos below the knee. It does not say anything about other parts of his body, and it is dated. It should not be turned into a claim that he is tattoo-free, and it does not tell you his status in 2026.

Kurt Angle: a historical lead, not a confirmation
A historical interview result connected to Kurt Angle came up in the reporting reviewed for this topic. It does not confirm his current, whole-body status. The source material did not establish whether he has any tattoos, and it should be treated as a starting point for further reporting, not as a verified example.

How to check a name before repeating it
- Confirm the person’s current ring name and the promotion they work for, since many wrestlers have used more than one name.
- Look for a first-person statement that addresses the whole body, such as an interview that discusses tattoos on the legs, back, chest, and arms, rather than a remark about one area.
- Record the date of that statement. Treat anything older than the wrestler’s most recent public appearances as a historical claim.
- Check whether the source is the wrestler speaking or a reporter or fan describing what they saw.
- Where a photo is the only evidence, note that it shows visibility in one frame and nothing more.
- Write the claim with an “as of” date and the source name, for example: “In a February 10, 2016 interview excerpt, James Storm said he has tattoos on both legs below the knees.”
What a confirmed example would need
- A direct statement, from the wrestler or a reliable interview, that specifically addresses tattoos across the body.
- A date close enough to the present that the statement describes the wrestler as they currently are.
- No contradicting first-person statement or dated reporting that places tattoos on the wrestler.
