Pictures, but the celebration is not the same as a completed deal, and it is not a studio decision to bring back the SnyderVerse. The only report we could locate is dated December 5, 2025. We found no official announcement of a transaction in the sources checked as of October 8, 2026, so the headline’s premise that Netflix “will buy” Warner Bros. should be treated as unverified. The revival question is more clear-cut: nothing we could find shows that Netflix, Warner Bros., or DC Studios has approved a Snyder-led project.
What the reporting actually says
The article behind the headline is a secondary entertainment piece, TheCinemaChina’s “Zack Snyder Fans Rally as Netflix Eyes SnyderVerse Revival,” published December 5, 2025. It reports that SnyderVerse supporters rallied after reports that Netflix could acquire Warner Bros. Pictures. The verb is “could,” which describes a possibility rather than a signed agreement.
Two things are missing from that coverage and from the sources we checked. The first is an official transaction announcement from Netflix or Warner Bros. The second is any reliable confirmation of where talks, if any, stand. As of October 8, 2026, the current status of a deal cannot be confirmed from available sources. Anyone reading a 2025 report in 2026 should check for newer news before repeating it as current fact.
Who wrote “We f*cking did it”
The celebration quoted in the article reads: “Send to, everyone. We f*cking did it. #SellZSJLtoNetflix #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix.” According to TheCinemaChina, the post came from an unidentified X user described as a Snyder fan. The article does not name the account and does not link to the post, so we could not independently confirm that the post exists in the form quoted.
#1 Best Overall
- Zack Snyder's Justice League
That matters for how much weight the quote can carry. It is one post, reproduced by a secondary publisher. It is not an official statement from Netflix, Warner Bros., Zack Snyder, or any verified account, and it is not evidence of a broad fan consensus. The hashtags suggest a campaign, but the article does not document how large that campaign was or how many people joined it.
What fans were hoping for
According to the same article, fans were hoping for a return of Snyder-led DC projects, including sequels to Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The article also says a revival remained uncertain even if the acquisition went through. That qualification is the most important line in the piece for readers who came to it through the headline.
In other words, the celebration was about what fans wanted to happen. It was not a report that a film had been approved, scheduled, or put into development.
Four claims, four different levels of support
The headline blends several separate claims. They do not have the same status, and it helps to read them one at a time.

How to check a story like this yourself
When a fan post and a corporate rumor arrive together, the fastest way to sort fact from hope is to work through a short sequence of checks.
- Look for an official announcement first. A transaction of this size would normally be announced through the newsroom or investor-relations pages of Netflix or of Warner Bros.’s corporate parent. A news story citing “people familiar” or a social media post is not an announcement.
- Read the verb carefully. “Could,” “considering,” “in talks,” “agreed to,” and “completed” describe very different stages. The headline here uses the strongest of these, while the underlying article uses a weaker one.
- Check the date. The most specific report we could find is from December 5, 2025. Coverage from that period does not tell you what happened after it.
- Trace the quote to its original post. If an article quotes a social media post without a link, a username, or a verifiable account, treat the quote as reported rather than verified.
- Separate a deal from a project. Even after a corporate transaction, a film still needs a studio decision. Look for a named title, a producer or director attached in an official capacity, or a release window. Hashtags and fan campaigns do not count.
Where that leaves the SnyderVerse question
The reporting supports a narrow conclusion. Fans were excited by reports of a possible Netflix acquisition and used social media to say so. The same reporting says a revival was uncertain even in the best case. Neither Netflix nor Warner Bros. has been shown, in the sources we could check, to have committed to reviving Snyder’s DC films. If that changes, the signal will come from an official source naming a specific project, not from the celebration itself.

For readers following the story, the practical rule is simple: treat the fan reaction as a fact about fans, the acquisition as an open report, and the revival as a hope until a studio says otherwise.
Limits of this article: it relies on one secondary report and on searches of available sources as of October 8, 2026. It does not establish the status of any negotiations, and it cannot rule out developments that were not indexed in those sources.
