Five romance-forward anime adaptations are currently announced for 2027, with Dengeki Daisy and The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy At All also slated for January. The available announcements do not support a reliable list of ten romance picks, so this watchlist sticks to the five candidates whose romance connection is established and distinguishes confirmed timing and streaming details from what remains unknown.

Five upcoming romance anime to keep on your watchlist
Dengeki Daisy
Kyousuke Motomi’s manga is officially described as romance-suspense, making this the clearest pick here for viewers who want romantic tension alongside a mystery. The story follows high-school student Teru Kurebayashi, who receives supportive emails from someone using the name Daisy after her brother’s death. She later meets Tasuku Kurosaki, the school custodian. The official site lists a January 2027 premiere and two consecutive cours, and says the manga sold more than five million copies worldwide. The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy At All
This adaptation centers on Mitsuki and Aya’s romance. Yen Press announces a January 2027 anime from CloverWorks and names Crunchyroll as its streaming destination. The cited announcement does not supply more plot detail or specify streaming territories, so check current local listings closer to release. Yen Press announcement.
Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love
The hook is a budding romance between an elite inspector and a bumbling detective: a workplace-and-police setup with room for comic contrast. Crunchyroll News reports a planned January 2027 broadcast and says a teaser and main cast were announced. The report is secondary-source coverage, and it does not establish a streaming platform. Aniplex announced a 2027 anime adaptation of Coco Uzuki’s manga, with MAPPA handling animation. How to read the release windows
January 2027 and 2027 are announced windows, not exact premiere dates. None of the cited information establishes a day-specific release. Streaming details are similarly title-specific: Yen Press names Crunchyroll for The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy At All, while the cited announcements for the other titles do not name a service. Availability can vary by territory and may be announced later.

Two other announced adaptations surfaced, but their available descriptions do not establish them as romance-forward picks. The official site for Pen to Wappa to Jijitsu-kon confirms a January 2027 anime about a detective and a high-school girl who communicates through writing, without establishing romance as the central draw. VIZ describes Hirayasumi, expected in 2027, as a story about a carefree 29-year-old who inherits a modest home, not as a romance-first series. They may interest some romance fans, but including them to reach ten would overstate what the announcements show. Official Pen to Wappa to Jijitsu-kon site · VIZ announcement for Hirayasumi.
