Anchor Brand Ranch, the ranch-life channel associated with Ramzi and Laura Hughes, has had a hiatus in uploads, and third-party coverage describes it that way. The sources we could find do not establish why uploads slowed, do not confirm a shutdown, and do not include a statement from the family. As of October 8, 2026, we could not verify whether the channel is posting again.
What is confirmed
- A Utah Farm Bureau profile dated October 24, 2024, titled “Anchor Brand Ranch: From the Ranch to Your Screen,” identifies Ramzi and Laura Hughes and their nine children. It describes the YouTube videos as everyday ranch routines and challenges, and it links readers to the channel.
- The same profile says the channel had over 65,000 subscribers at that time. That is a historical figure from October 2024, not a current count.
- Anchor Brand Ranch has a Patreon presence. Its about page and creator page show that the Patreon exists, but they do not explain why YouTube uploads changed or whether the YouTube channel is active.
Where the hiatus claim comes from
The description of a hiatus comes from third-party coverage, not from the family.
- GB Times, August 28, 2024. This article says the channel effectively stopped posting in late 2022 and lists several possible reasons. The reasons are the author’s speculation, not reported facts.
- Hitberry, July 23, 2025. A video titled “What happened to Anchor Brand Ranch YouTube?” uses the upload hiatus as its premise. It reports the pause; it does not explain it.
Neither piece is a dated post or video from Anchor Brand Ranch, so both should be read as outside reporting on the channel’s activity.
Why the timelines do not line up
GB Times places the channel’s last meaningful posting in late 2022. The Utah Farm Bureau profile, published about two months after the GB Times article, presents the channel as a current family project and links readers to it. A channel that had stopped in late 2022 would not fit that presentation neatly. The profile shows that the channel was being promoted in October 2024; it does not show when the last upload was made. For that reason, the exact date of the last upload is unverified.

Explanations that circulate but are not confirmed
Several explanations appear in articles and comment threads. None has been confirmed by the family or by a documented source.
- Burnout or a family decision to step back. Speculated in the GB Times piece as a possibility. No statement from the Hughes family supports it.
- Removed videos or a platform penalty. A December 2023 discussion on the AgTalk forum includes commenters who believed videos had been removed and that the channel was taking a break. These comments are anecdotal and do not identify a removal notice or policy action.
- Family priorities. Offered as a general possibility in secondary coverage, with no direct evidence.
The Patreon and the Utah Farm Bureau profile contain quotes from Ramzi Hughes about the channel’s origins and audience. Those remarks do not address the later change in uploads, so they should not be read as an explanation.

How to check the current status
- Open the channel on YouTube and select the Videos tab. Sort by Latest and note the date of the newest upload. This is the most direct check of posting activity.
- Look at the channel’s About page for links to recent posts or announcements, and check the dates on any that appear.
- Check the Patreon page for dated posts that mention the channel’s schedule.
- Look for a dated post or video from Anchor Brand Ranch or the Hughes family that addresses the pause. A family statement of this kind is the only source that could confirm the reason.
How to describe the situation accurately
Use “hiatus” or “a pause in uploads” for what third-party sources describe. Avoid “shutdown,” “deleted,” or “banned” unless a documented source states one of those. Give the 65,000-subscriber figure with its October 2024 date. When citing the late-2022 date, attribute it to GB Times, and when citing the 2025 hiatus, attribute it to Hitberry.
