Crunchyroll’s New York Comic Con 2025 programme reportedly included a special dual-episode screening of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2. That is the confirmed part of the story. The exact screening day, the footage shown, and whether the season is currently streaming on Crunchyroll are not established by the reporting available, and this article keeps those questions separate from what is documented.
What the reporting documents
The main source is CBR reporting dated September 16, 2025, reproduced in a search result. It describes Crunchyroll’s NYCC 2025 programming and connects the Campfire Cooking screening to Crunchyroll. The report places New York Comic Con 2025 on October 9–12, 2025. Those are event dates, not a measure of audience or performance.
The Crunchyroll Showcase
According to the same reporting, Crunchyroll’s Showcase featured anime trailers and early looks, described as “all-new trailers, early looks and more.” The reproduction does not name the person who said or wrote that line, so it should be read as reported programme language rather than a quotation from a named speaker.
The Campfire Cooking screening
The season was reportedly part of the programme as a special dual-episode screening. The available text cuts off before the full event details, so the day it ran and the content of the two episodes shown cannot be stated from this source. Any description of specific scenes or a first-look reveal beyond the screening itself would go past the evidence.

What is not established
- The exact screening date within NYCC 2025 (October 9–12, 2025).
- The content of the first look, including any new key art, cast announcements, or staff details.
- An official Crunchyroll announcement or event recording. The reporting does not link to either, so the details above rest on a single secondary report.
- Current streaming availability, release dates, and territories. Nothing in the reporting confirms the season is in Crunchyroll’s catalogue now, or where.
Is it Fall 2025’s biggest hit?
The phrase is headline framing. No ranking, viewership figure, or sales measure from a named publisher supports it, so it should not be repeated as a fact. The season can be discussed as an isekai title featured at a major Crunchyroll event without any claim about its popularity relative to other shows.
Checking whether the season is streaming
Because the NYCC event took place more than a year before this article was written, the reporting is no guide to what is available today. To check current availability yourself:
- Open Crunchyroll and search for the full title, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill.
- If a Season 2 entry appears, open it and check the episode list. An episode that opens for you is available in your account’s region.
- If an episode is locked, note whether it needs a paid membership. Membership tiers and what they include vary by region.
- If the title does not appear, the season has not reached Crunchyroll’s catalogue where you are. Check Crunchyroll’s official news channels for any announced premiere date.
Availability depends on your account’s region, so a season that streams in one country may not appear in another.

The headline’s two claims are different in kind. The “first-look reveal” part matches a reported Crunchyroll showcase screening at NYCC 2025. The “streaming release” part describes an association with Crunchyroll rather than a dated launch that the reporting establishes. Read as a summary, the piece confirms a convention appearance and a Crunchyroll connection; it does not confirm a release schedule or a popularity ranking.
Readers looking for a confirmed premiere date or territory list should check Crunchyroll’s own schedule and announcements, which the reporting available here does not reproduce.
