The episode closes with a memorial dedication to Klapper. TheWrap reported that he died on September 10, 2024, at age 87. Town & Country and 9Now report that the official Yellowstone account posted, “Billy Klapper is a LEGEND!” That wording is the account’s tribute, not a quotation from Klapper.
