What Lauryn Hill is doing now
Hill’s recent public activity combines performances with cultural programming. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, she took part in tributes to D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, including performances with Wyclef Jean and other artists. Why she brought Diaspora Calling! to the UK
Hill told AP that she and Jean had built community across the diaspora even when they were no longer doing the Fugees “thing,” and that the time had come to bring people together. She described the UK event as an opportunity to bring people together “in the name of growth, healing and pushing forward.”

The Fugees’ official anniversary site describes a global celebration marking 30 years since the release of The Score. It listed a New York event on September 26 as past, followed by these U.S. dates as of October 8, 2026:

Why The Score is central to the anniversary
The celebration looks back at the Fugees’ 1996 album while bringing Hill and Jean together onstage. Asked about its 30th anniversary, Hill called The Score “a timeless piece of work for us as well.” She said that performing its older lyrics brings “a new energy, a new spirit.” The comments were published in AP’s August 5, 2026 interview.
