The supplied headline captures a blunt framing of Terrifier 3, but the exact sentence cannot be verified from the available interview text. What can be confirmed is that writer-director Damien Leone described the sequel as an effort to push boundaries, while its distributor presented it as an unrated, Christmas-set continuation of Art the Clown’s story.
Did Damien Leone say, “We’re Certainly Exploiting Violence”?
The exact wording in the headline is not reproduced in Screen Realm’s October 11, 2024 page about its interview with Leone. That page says the conversation covered the Christmas setting, pitch-black comedy, production involving children, and the franchise’s future, but it does not establish the sentence or its surrounding context. It is therefore safer to treat the headline as a framing of Leone’s approach, not as a confirmed verbatim quotation.
A separate statement is verifiable. In Cineverse’s November 6, 2023 announcement, Leone said: “In a cinematic landscape where risk-taking is scarce, I will continue to push boundaries in Terrifier 3, and I can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for Art the Clown.” Cineverse’s announcement via PR Newswire attributes those words to him as the film’s writer and director.
How the film was presented
Cineverse’s 2023 announcement described Terrifier 3 as an unrated horror film with a Christmas setting, in which Art the Clown unleashes chaos on Miles County residents on Christmas Eve. That is the distributor’s promotional description, not an independent content classification. The film is written and directed by Damien Leone; Cineverse later named Phil Falcone as producer and David Howard Thornton and Lauren LaVera among the cast.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The contrast between seasonal imagery and extreme horror is central to the film’s positioning. Leone’s verified statement about pushing boundaries supports that broad description, but it does not by itself confirm the precise headline quotation or explain every creative choice in the movie.
