“Ai Papai” by Anitta, MC Danny and HITMAKER entered the Spotify Brasil Top 30 in early January 2023. POPline reported that the song reached position 30 on January 7, 2023. That was a daily ranking, and it was the first entry point, not the song’s best result. A later weekly chart history records a peak at number 9 for the week of February 23, 2023. Everything below describes events from 2023, not the chart as it stands today.
What the January 2023 report said
POPline, a Brazilian music news outlet, published its report on January 7, 2023, under the headline formulation “Ai Papai entra no Top 30 do Spotify Brasil.” According to that report, the track was at position 30 and had logged 437,000 streams over the preceding 24 hours. These are POPline’s figures as reported by the outlet; they are not Spotify’s own published numbers.

The previous day’s report, covering January 6, 2023, placed the song at position 32 with 380,691 plays. Read together, the two reports show a song climbing into the Top 30 over a short period rather than arriving there in a single jump.
| Date | Chart and period | Position | Streams or plays | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| January 6, 2023 | Spotify Brasil, daily | 32 | 380,691 plays | POPline, 2023 |
| January 7, 2023 | Spotify Brasil, daily | 30 | 437,000 streams in the preceding 24 hours | POPline, 2023 |
| Week of February 23, 2023 | Spotify Brasil, weekly | 9 (peak) | Not stated | Kworb Spotify chart-history archive, 2023 |
| Full year 2023 | Multi-service annual streaming chart | 86 | Not stated | Pro-Música Brasil, published 2024 |
Why the Top 30 entry is not the peak
The January figures and the February peak measure different things. The first are daily positions on Spotify Brasil, reported by POPline. The second is a weekly placement from Kworb, a third-party archive that tracks Spotify chart history; Kworb is useful corroboration, but it is not a Spotify statement. A song can enter a daily chart at 30 and, over the following weeks, post a weekly placement well above that figure. Reporting the January entry as the song’s high point would understate its chart run.

The annual figure is a third kind of number. The Pro-Música Brasil year-end streaming chart places “Ai Papai” at number 86 for 2023. Its data comes from BMAT and covers Spotify, Apple, Napster, Deezer, Amazon and YouTube combined over the full year. A rank of 86 on that list is not comparable with a daily Spotify Brasil position of 30 or a weekly position of 9.
Credits and release details
The song is credited to Anitta, MC Danny and HITMAKER. The spelling differs by platform: Spotify lists the artist as “Mc Danny,” while Apple Music uses “MC Danny.”
- Performing artists (Apple Music): Anitta, MC Danny and HITMAKER.
- Composition credits (Apple Music): André Vieira, Breder, Raphael Klismman, Romeu R3, Talia and Wallace Vianna.
- Producer (Apple Music): HITMAKER.
- Label lines (Spotify): the single listing carries Warner Music Brasil Ltda. copyright and phonogram lines.
The release date also depends on the platform. Spotify’s single listing shows November 29, 2022, and Apple Music shows November 30, 2022. The sources do not explain the one-day difference, which may reflect how each service records metadata. If you cite a release date, name the platform.

Because the milestone is historical, each figure should carry its date, chart and source. A practical format is:
Rank #3
- “Entered the Spotify Brasil daily chart at No. 30 on January 7, 2023 (POPline).”
- “Reached a weekly Spotify Brasil peak of No. 9 for the week of February 23, 2023 (Kworb chart-history archive).”
- “Ranked No. 86 on Pro-Música Brasil’s 2023 annual multi-service streaming chart (published 2024).”
Avoid mixing these into a single “ranked 30th” or “reached 9th on Spotify” claim. Also avoid presenting POPline’s stream counts as independently verified platform data.
No named-person quotation or official statement about the chart milestone was found in the reporting used here, so this article does not include one.
