A dance to “Edge of Seventeen”
Castmates danced with the couple to Stevie Nicks’s “Edge of Seventeen,” a song that nods to the film. The moment was reported in the same coverage that covered the reception.
How they met and reconnected
Reports say the two first met as children during casting for School of Rock. The Irish Times reported that they later reconnected in Florida in 2018, after both had begun their studies: Massagli was studying law at the University of Miami, and Hale was pursuing studies at Nova Southeastern University at the time.
In an interview recounted by The Irish Times, Massagli recalled seeing Hale at the audition: “I was like, ‘wow, that girl’s really, really, really something else.’”
What the castmates said about the reunion
Rivkah Reyes, who played Katie, told the Connecticut Post: “We’ve always remained close after filming and it’s rare that we all get together.” According to The Independent, Hale described the gathering as a “time capsule moment.”
