The Family Man Season 2 was released on June 4, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video. That is the date Prime Video India gave in the official Season 2 trailer. An earlier date, February 12, 2021, was announced in January 2021 and was later replaced, so older coverage that cites February 12 is describing a plan, not the final release day.
The official release date
The Season 2 trailer published on Prime Video India’s official channel states: “Show Release Date – June 4, 2021 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu only on Amazon Prime Video.” That line makes the trailer the stronger source for the date the season actually arrived, because it is the later and more specific statement from the platform. It also names the three languages the season was offered in at launch.

How the date changed
Three official announcements form the timeline. They are listed below in the order they appeared.
| Date | What was announced | Source |
|---|---|---|
| November 29, 2019 | Amazon confirmed it had greenlit Season 2. | Amazon’s season-greenlight press release |
| January 6, 2021 | Prime Video India announced February 12, 2021 as the planned Season 2 release date. | Prime Video India date-announcement video |
| Released June 4, 2021 | The official trailer gave June 4, 2021 as the release date, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, only on Amazon Prime Video. | Prime Video India Season 2 trailer |
The sources do not explain why the date moved from February 12 to June 4. Anything beyond the dates themselves would be speculation, so this article does not offer a reason.

What the official statements establish, and what they do not
Amazon’s 2019 press release quotes Vijay Subramaniam, Director and Head, Content, Amazon Prime Video India: “The Family Man has become our most watched Amazon Original Series in India!” That is a qualitative company statement. The official sources reviewed do not publish an audience figure, so no viewing number should be attached to the claim.
Two points are settled by the official material: the release date was June 4, 2021, and the season was offered in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Beyond that, the sources do not give a reason for the schedule change or a country-by-country availability history.
