The three leads of Vikings: Valhalla season 3 are Sam Corlett as Leif Eriksson, Frida Gustavsson as Freydís Eiríksdóttir, and Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson. Netflix calls this the concluding season of the series, which was released on July 11, 2024. Netflix’s own Tudum cast guide also profiles the royal and political characters who surround the trio, including Bradley Freegard as King Canute and Laura Berlin as Emma.
Who leads season 3
Season 3 follows the same three Norse-born heroes who carried the first two seasons, and it is built around their separate paths rather than a single shared storyline. Netflix Tudum describes the characters as being on separate journeys seven years after season 2: Freydís leads the pagan town of Jomsborg, while Leif and Harald are in Constantinople.
Sam Corlett as Leif Eriksson
Netflix’s guide presents Leif as a skilled sailor from Greenland and the son of Erik the Red. His experience with Mariam, a Syrian astronomer, pushes him toward science and reason, which gives his storyline a different texture from the more openly political or religious plots around him. The Tudum guide offers this historical background as its own framing for the character; it is not a separate history source, and it should not be read as an account of the historical Leif Eriksson’s life.
Frida Gustavsson as Freydís Eiríksdóttir
Gustavsson plays Freydís as a fierce warrior and spiritual leader who protects the pagan traditions of the old gods and leads Jomsborg. Tudum describes her arc as moving from personal revenge toward protecting her followers, so her season is less about settling a single score and more about what she is responsible for once she holds a community together.

#1 Best Overall
Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson
Suter plays the Norwegian prince who wants to become king and unite the Vikings. In season 3 the Constantinople setting, with its wealth, tests his focus on that ambition. Netflix’s title page foregrounds Corlett, Suter, and Gustavsson as the show’s stars.
Supporting cast in season 3
The table below lists the featured supporting cast from Netflix Tudum’s cast guide. The guide does not give episode-by-episode credits, so the table records only the role each character plays in the story as the guide describes it. Where the guide does not label a character as new or returning, the cell says so rather than guessing.
| Actor | Character | Role in season 3 (per Netflix Tudum) | Season 3 status (per Netflix Tudum) |

| Søren Pilmark | King Sweyn Forkbeard | Canute’s father, described as a harsh and impatient protector of his family’s interests | Returning royal character |

| Goran Višnjić | Erik the Red | Leif and Freydís’ father, living in Greenland after exile | New in season 3 |
Why the final season matters for the cast
Netflix presents season 3 as the end of the story for these three heroes. Co-creator and executive producer Jeb Stuart said in Netflix Tudum’s July 11, 2024 season 3 announcement: “Of course with real historical figures, there are always more aspects of their lives that could be explored, but it made sense storywise for our Leif, Freydís, and Harald’s voyages to end with our third season.” For viewers, that means the season is where the central trio’s arcs are meant to close, and the supporting characters, especially Maniakes and Erik the Red as new arrivals, are part of that final chapter.
What the cast guide does and does not cover
The Tudum guide is a featured cast list, not a complete credit roll. Use it to identify the leads and the prominent royal and political figures, and check the full credits on the Netflix title page if you need every performer who appears in the season. The guide is also not an assessment of historical accuracy: where it describes the historical background of a character, that description is part of the guide’s framing for the drama.
