Both sources say release dates and titles may change. As of October 8, 2026, the studio has confirmed the date, the premise, the core creative team, and a CinemaCon 2026 presentation. It has not yet announced a cast, a streaming window, or a home-video release.
When it opens
The scheduled U.S. theatrical release is June 18, 2027. Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation are listed as the releasing labels. Sony’s listings do not state international release dates, so readers outside the U.S. should check local distributors closer to the date.
The story so far
Sony’s published synopsis says Miles Morales is hunted by Miguel O’Hara’s Spider Society and betrayed by his friends. He searches the Spider-Verse for a way home while the danger he faces threatens his fractured family. That is the studio’s summary of the premise, not a plot account, and it does not describe any specific scenes or outcomes.

The CinemaCon 2026 first look
At CinemaCon in April 2026, Sony Pictures Animation president Kristine Belson introduced the film. Lord, Miller, Persichetti, and Thompson then presented an exclusive preview of the final installment. Sony’s recap does not publish the preview footage or describe its scenes in detail, so there is no public account of what the presentation showed.
Sony’s recap describes the film in this official studio wording: “Miles Morales returns for the final chapter of Sony Pictures Animation’s Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse.” This is studio copy, not a quotation attributed to any filmmaker.
