Érika Januza and Juan Nakamura, Carol Nakamura’s son, were reported to have a 14-year age difference. Januza spoke about her thoughts on age and timing during their relationship, which ended in January 2023; the two are not currently a couple.
How old were Érika Januza and Juan Nakamura?
UOL reported in June 2021 that Januza was 36 and Juan was 22, a 14-year difference. Juan is the son of Carol Nakamura. The ages are a snapshot from 2021, not their current ages. UOL’s 2021 report also reproduced remarks the couple made about their relationship.

Her 2021 thoughts about having a child
In remarks from a Glamour interview reported by UOL, Januza described a personal worry about age and timing as she considered the possibility of having a child: “Vou ter bebê com cara de avó e ele parecerá irmão do nosso filho”. This was her own reflection, not a medical claim or a general conclusion about couples with an age difference. Juan, in remarks from the same 2021 Glamour issue reproduced by UOL, said: “Eu estou com você porque quero estar, quero somar, você é muito especial.”

In 2022, Januza told Quem, as quoted by UOL, that she had initially thought Juan was too young, but that getting to know him changed her view: “Acho que enfrentei o bloqueio da idade. Ele é muito maduro, a idade não tem a ver. Conhecer a pessoa me fez ver quem ele era”. UOL’s 2022 account presents this as her personal perspective on Juan and the relationship.

When did they break up?
Januza and Juan’s relationship ended in January 2023 after nearly three years, according to Correio Braziliense’s breakup report. The publication listed their ages then as 37 and 23, again describing a 14-year difference. Gshow later summarized their relationship as spanning 2020 to 2023. In July 2026, it reported that Januza and Carol Nakamura appeared together at a sporting event in Rio. Gshow’s report concerns Januza and Carol’s meeting, not a reunion between Januza and Juan.
