Zuleyka Rivera dejó de ser capitana del equipo Rubí en Miss Universe Latina: El Reality después de abandonar el escenario durante una gala de inmunidad en junio de 2025. La explicación posterior de Rivera
En una entrevista publicada por People en Español el 15 de diciembre de 2025, Rivera ofreció un contexto que va más allá de la discusión televisada. Según sus palabras, ya se había reunido con los productores antes del incidente para expresar su punto de vista sobre lo que sucedía en el reality.

Desacuerdos con la producción
Rivera mencionó como ejemplo los retos que enfrentaban las concursantes y aseguró que había varias cuestiones con las que no estaba de acuerdo. Según relató, sentía que las críticas recaían sobre ella, mientras que los nombres de los productores casi nunca aparecían en público. Concluyó que no lograron llegar a un acuerdo.
