You’re probably thinking of Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction,” specifically the video listed as “Satisfaction (version 1: Tool Girls).” Clipland lists the video as a 2003 production directed by Dougal Wilson; its imagery includes women using drills, belt sanders, saws and breakers.
The likely match: Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction”
A 2005 AnandTech Forums thread uses nearly the same question wording and recalls women using a saw, drill and jackhammer, with Stephen Hawking heard in the background. Participants identified the clip as Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction,” and the original poster confirmed that was the video they meant: the 2005 forum discussion.
Clipland lists a version called “Satisfaction (version 1: Tool Girls),” associates the song with Benassi’s album The Biz, and describes women using drills, belt sanders, saws and breakers. It credits Dougal Wilson as director and gives 2003 as the video year: Clipland’s listing.
What the available listings establish
The forum thread is useful evidence for matching the remembered imagery to the song, while Clipland provides retrospective video details. Both are secondary sources; no official artist, label, director or hosting source was established for independently verifying the production credits or finding a current official video link. The specific title variant, date and director should therefore be understood as information attributed to Clipland’s listing.
