What Efron said afterward
On Sunday, August 4, Efron posted on Instagram Stories: “Happy and healthy. Thanks for the well wishes,” according to Variety’s report. The quoted wording is from that secondary report, not an independently retrieved copy of the Story.
What is known about the rescue—and what is not
The Independent reported that a source told TMZ two people working at the villa found Efron in the pool and pulled him out. That is a source-attributed account, not a statement from Efron or his representative. The Independent’s account does not establish the medical cause or diagnosis. The representative’s reported comments did not explain what led to the hospital visit, and the August 2024 reports do not verify Efron’s health status today.
