The McBrooms’ Woodland Hills mansion was reportedly returned to its lender after a foreclosure auction on October 19, 2021, drew no bids. The family had bought the property for a reported $10.1 million in 2019. That foreclosure outcome does not establish that they were evicted that day, and the property’s later ownership is not established by the available reporting.
How the McBrooms’ mansion entered foreclosure
Austin and Catherine McBroom, known for their YouTube channel The ACE Family, reportedly bought the Woodland Hills, California, property for $10.1 million in 2019, according to The Real Deal and Business Insider.
In May 2021, notices reportedly cited about $8.7 million owed and gave the borrowers 90 days to address the default. An August notice of trustee’s sale followed. Those are amounts reported from the notices; they do not provide a complete or independently reconstructed account of the loan.
What happened at the 2021 foreclosure auction?

The outlets gave different estimates for the auction’s starting figure. Business Insider reported roughly $9.07 million, while The Real Deal reported $9.3 million. These are source-specific estimates, not a single verified final sale price; the auction reportedly had no winning bid.
Foreclosure did not mean immediate eviction
Foreclosure and eviction are separate events. At the time, reporting explained that the lender would need to win an eviction lawsuit to compel the family to leave. Business Insider’s Yahoo-syndicated report quoted Austin McBroom responding to eviction rumors on Instagram on July 8: “Ain’t nobody getting evicted, ain’t nobody moving.” That was his statement at the time, not proof of what happened later.

What was the house like?
A 2021 report described the Woodland Hills residence as approximately 12,000 square feet and said it began as two homes that were later combined. Coverage of its furnishings and renovations drew on the family’s house-tour footage and earlier listing material, rather than an independent property inspection. Business Insider’s report covers the foreclosure, while its house-tour coverage discusses the home’s features.

A December 2021 report said the family showed a new home, but that does not establish the later chain of title for the Woodland Hills mansion. The reporting cited here does not confirm who owns that property now or what happened to it after it returned to the lender. The Sun’s December 2021 article describes the family’s new home, not a verified later sale of the foreclosed one.
