1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsBilly Maximoff’s next MCU appearance has not been officially announced. As of October 8, 2026, no official Disney or Marvel material confirms Billy, the Wiccan character played by Joe Locke, in any upcoming project. VisionQuest is the nearest and most story-relevant option, but its published setup centers on Vision and Thomas Shepard, not Billy. Avengers: Doomsday’s published cast does not list him, and a Young Avengers or Wiccan project remains speculation.
The short answer, possibility by possibility
The table below separates what has been officially published from what is simply plausible. Each row uses the same four questions: is Billy confirmed, when does the project arrive, how directly does it connect to his unresolved thread with Tommy, and what kind of evidence supports it.
| Possibility | Official status (as of October 8, 2026) | Billy confirmed? | Date on record | Connection to Billy’s thread |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VisionQuest (Disney+) | Eight-episode series in production publication; premieres October 14, 2026, with the finale listed for November 11 | No. The official synopsis names Vision and Thomas Shepard, and does not name Billy | October 14, 2026 premiere (Disney+ UK listing) | Strongest. The companion is described as a boy who may be Vision’s son reincarnate |
| Avengers: Doomsday | Listed by Disney for release on December 18, 2026 | Not in the published cast. Joe Locke/Billy does not appear on the list | December 18, 2026 | Not stated in the published material |
| Young Avengers or a Wiccan project | No MCU production announced in the sources reviewed | No | Not stated | Comics connection only; the team ties Wiccan to Young Avengers |
| Later Avengers entries (for example, Avengers: Secret Wars) | No announced casting for Billy | No | Not stated | Not stated |
VisionQuest: the strongest near-term possibility
VisionQuest is the only dated project on this list with a direct line to Billy’s story. It is the third chapter of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along, and Disney+ describes it as “the final chapter of the trilogy.” That framing makes it the natural place for the family storyline to resume.
What the official setup says
Disney+’s UK VisionQuest page lists an October 14, 2026 premiere and a November 11 finale across eight episodes. The page is the source for those dates, so readers in other regions should check their local Disney+ listing, since release timing can differ by territory. The synopsis introduces Thomas Shepard as Vision’s companion and describes him as “a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son reincarnate.” That wording is Disney’s editorial copy and is not attributed to a named person.

Why the Tommy thread matters, and where it stops
Billy and Tommy are the twin sons of Wanda and Vision, and their relationship is one of the central unfinished threads of the trilogy. A series built around a boy who may be Vision’s son reincarnate gives the story a logical reason to revisit the twins. That is an inference drawn from narrative logic. The official synopsis does not say that Billy appears, and it should not be read as casting confirmation.
What would count as confirmation
- A cast or credits listing for VisionQuest that names Joe Locke or the Billy Maximoff character.
- An official trailer, clip, or key art that shows Billy, with an official Marvel or Disney+ caption identifying him.
- A direct statement from Marvel Studios or Disney+ that confirms his participation.
Until one of these appears, VisionQuest is the most likely next stop, but it remains a probability rather than a confirmed appearance.

Avengers: Doomsday
Disney lists Avengers: Doomsday for December 18, 2026, and its published cast does not include Billy. The original cast announcement from D23 also left him out, but that announcement carried an earlier release date that has since been superseded, so it is a historical record rather than a current schedule.
The accurate way to describe this is that Billy is not in the published Doomsday cast. That is different from saying he will definitely be absent from the film. Cast lists can expand, and surprise appearances are a long-standing part of Marvel marketing, so the current list is the best evidence available, not a guarantee.

Young Avengers and a possible Wiccan project
Marvel’s comics material connects Wiccan to the Young Avengers, the team he belongs to in the comics. Marvel’s own team and character pages document that history, which helps explain why a Young Avengers adaptation is a logical next step for the character.
Comics precedent, however, does not establish the MCU’s production slate. No Young Avengers movie or series with Wiccan has been announced in the sources reviewed. Treat it as a plausible path, not a production report.

Later Avengers entries and dedicated projects
Later Avengers films, including Avengers: Secret Wars, and any solo Wiccan series have no announced casting for Billy. Speculation about them can draw on the same comics connections, but no official announcement confirms him in those projects.
How to check whether the picture has changed
- Open Disney+’s VisionQuest page in your region and confirm the premiere date and the synopsis wording.
- Read the full cast list on Disney’s Avengers: Doomsday page, not only the summary.
- Watch for official Marvel Studios announcements and trailers, and check whether any credits name Billy before accepting a fan report.
- Be cautious with leaks, rumors, or social posts that identify Billy without an official source. Official pages are the reliable reference point.
Dates and cast lists change, so confirm these pages again before relying on them.
