Spoilers for episode 9. “Kirishima & Yoshino Brace for Their Biggest Challenge” refers to episode 9 of Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii, officially titled “To Be Honest, I Want to Marry You, Part Two.” Crunchyroll’s synopsis sets up two parallel dangers: Kirishima is dealing with men following him, while Yoshino has to handle a situation alone with Naoya.
What episode 9 is about
Crunchyroll’s official synopsis establishes the episode’s central split. Kirishima finds himself pursued by men and meets someone; Yoshino, meanwhile, must manage things on her own with Naoya. The indexed recap associated with the headline describes a revenge-seeking group and Yoshino joining the confrontation, but the available official synopsis does not verify the full sequence of scenes. The safest account is therefore the official outline rather than a more detailed beat-by-beat recap.
The episode is called “To Be Honest, I Want to Marry You, Part Two.” Crunchyroll lists it as episode 9, with a runtime of 23 minutes and a release date of December 2, 2024. See Crunchyroll’s episode listing.
Why Kirishima and Yoshino’s predicament matters
The situation plays out against a relationship arranged to connect rival criminal families. Yoshino Somei is the granddaughter of a powerful Kansai yakuza leader; her engagement to Kirishima Miyama links her family with a rival Kanto family. After moving to Tokyo, Yoshino discovers that Kirishima’s personality is not what she expected. Crunchyroll frames the series as drama, romance, and thriller, so the couple’s engagement is both a personal relationship and a source of family pressure.

That context gives the episode’s divided focus its stakes: Kirishima faces trouble directly, while Yoshino is left to deal with Naoya without him. Beyond that broad setup, the official synopsis does not establish the precise motives, exchanges, or outcome of the confrontation.

Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii adapts Asuka Konishi’s manga, published by Kodansha in Monthly Afternoon. Crunchyroll’s July 2024 adaptation announcement named Toshifumi Kawase as director, Rika Takasugi for series composition and scripts, Itsuko Takeda for character design, Masato Suzuki for music, and Studio DEEN for animation. That announcement reported eight Japanese volumes available at the time; it is a historical figure, not a current volume count.
Crunchyroll Store lists volume 4 of the manga, crediting Konishi for story and art. The listing alone does not establish which manga chapters correspond to episode 9.
