What Wordle’s badges are
The New York Times Games app listing describes badges as a way to celebrate streaks and wins. It presents them alongside player statistics, including longest solving streaks and puzzles solved. Wordle remains the daily game in which players try to guess a five-letter word in up to six attempts.
The listing’s wording is general: “Earn badges for Spelling Bee, Wordle and Connections. Celebrate your streaks and wins.” It does not name every Wordle badge or specify the streak lengths, win totals, or other milestones needed to earn them. Read the NYT Games app listing.
How to earn a Wordle badge
The official app description establishes that Wordle badges exist and are associated generally with streaks and wins. It does not document a badge screen’s exact location or give step-by-step navigation, so there is no confirmed path to provide here. Nor does it establish a complete set of badge names or thresholds; avoid treating any particular milestone as an official requirement unless it appears in the app.

Do bonus Wordle puzzles count toward badges?
No. The NYT Games Help Center says bonus puzzles do not have stats, streaks, or badges, and do not affect those for the original daily puzzles. Bonus puzzles are available in the Games app and on the web, but completing one should not be counted as progress toward a badge tied to the original daily game. See the NYT Games Help Center’s “Bonus Puzzles” guidance.
What is not yet established
- The official sources cited here do not state when Wordle badges launched.
- They do not publish a complete Wordle badge catalog or the precise criteria for each badge.
Because the app description can change, its current listing is the clearest official confirmation of the feature available in the reviewed information.
