Bryana “Bana” Bongolan testified that Sean “Diddy” Combs told her, “I’m the devil, and I could kill you,” during an alleged April 2016 encounter on a Malibu beach. That was separate from her account of Combs allegedly lifting her over a balcony at Cassie Ventura’s Los Angeles apartment months later, according to Rolling Stone Australia’s June 5, 2025 report.
What threat did Bongolan recall?
In testimony covered by Rolling Stone Australia, Bongolan said Combs made the threat during an alleged encounter on a Malibu beach in April 2016. She recalled his words as: “I’m the devil, and I could kill you.” Rolling Stone Australia, June 5, 2025

How the beach threat differs from the balcony allegation
Bongolan described two separate episodes, not one continuous incident. The beach encounter was alleged to have happened in April 2016; the balcony incident she recounted took place in September 2016 at Ventura’s Los Angeles apartment.
| Episode | When and where | What Bongolan alleged |
|---|---|---|
| Beach encounter | April 2016, Malibu beach | Combs threatened her, saying, “I’m the devil, and I could kill you.” |
| Balcony incident | September 2016, Ventura’s Los Angeles apartment | She said Combs lifted and held her over the 17th-floor balcony, then threw her onto patio furniture. |
Both accounts are allegations as reported, not findings of fact. The report covers Bongolan’s testimony about the alleged balcony incident separately from her account of the beach threat.

What happened during cross-examination?
Defense lawyer Nicole Westmoreland challenged aspects of Bongolan’s recollection and compared her testimony with earlier accounts. The report says Bongolan repeatedly could not recall details. That challenge is part of the trial coverage; it does not, by itself, establish whether the allegations are true or false.

When Bongolan’s lawsuit was filed, a Combs legal representative denied the allegations, telling Rolling Stone: “Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.” The June 5, 2025 report does not establish a later civil-case development or a judicial finding on the allegations, so it should not be read as an update on the present status of any case.
