What happened to Christopher Levy
Christopher was seriously injured in a golf-cart rollover in Weston, Florida, in October 2020. Contemporaneous reporting gives his age at the time as 14. The injury involved his knee and led to emergency treatment, surgery, and a long rehabilitation period.

Coverage does not agree on how many operations Christopher had. Telemundo’s February 2021 article says four operations, because his knee had to be reconstructed. Telemundo’s September 2022 article describes three surgeries aimed at saving the knee joint. The two outlets may count procedures differently, or the articles may describe different stages of treatment. The reporting does not resolve the gap, so any single total should be attributed to the specific article that gives it.

What the reporting does not establish
No source found reports Christopher’s medical status after September 2022. Saying he has fully recovered goes beyond the evidence. The accurate statement is that Telemundo reported he had returned to playing baseball by September 2022. Readers who need current health information should look for a newer statement from the family or from a medical source with direct knowledge of his care.
What the family said
In its February 2021 article, Telemundo reproduced an Instagram message attributed to William Levy and Elizabeth Gutiérrez that thanked people who were praying for their son. It read in Spanish: “Gracias a todos los que sin conocernos oran por nuestro hijo Christopher como familia. Que Dios sane a Christopher y los demás muchachos completo y rápidamente.”

In September 2021, Telemundo quoted William Levy describing the period after the accident. In Spanish he said: “Fue un momento difícil, la verdad. Él estaba como el mejor jugador en Estados Unidos y de un momento verlo jugar y pasar de eso a otro día cargarlo, llevarlo al baño y verlo en silla de ruedas fue un poco difícil.” English translation: “It was a difficult time, truly. He was among the best players in the United States, and to go from seeing him play to having to carry him, take him to the bathroom, and see him in a wheelchair the next day was a little difficult.” The translation is a rendering of Levy’s quoted remarks as Telemundo published them.
