Yes. TVLine reported on March 5, 2025, that Netflix had cancelled the series after two seasons, citing statements from the cast and creator. The report quoted Hawley’s conditional comment: “Is two seasons and a movie a thing? Cause we’d all be there in a heartbeat. What happened in Season 2?
Season 2, which began streaming on January 30, 2025, has six episodes, according to Netflix Tudum. Noah Centineo returns as CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks, whose new assignment takes him into dangerous espionage in South Korea. A threat also emerges within the agency.
How did the series get a second season?
Netflix announced the renewal on January 26, 2023. Centineo, who stars as Owen and is an executive producer, said the cast and executive team were “thrilled to be returning to The Recruit for a second season.” Creator and showrunner Alexi Hawley said he was “thrilled to dive back into the fun, funny, action-packed world of The Recruit.” Netflix published both statements in its renewal announcement.
