Yes. Apple renewed Severance for Season 3 on March 21, 2025, and Adam Scott said filming was underway in August 2026. Apple had not announced a premiere date as of TheWrap’s report, so a release date or year is not confirmed.
Season 3 is officially renewed
Apple confirmed the third season in its March 21, 2025 announcement. Adam Scott, who stars in the series and is an executive producer, said he was excited to return to work with creator Ben Stiller, Dan Erickson, the cast and crew, Apple, and the wider Severance team.
Filming is underway
On The Today Show, Scott said, “Shooting is officially underway for Season 3.” TheWrap reported on August 25, 2026, that production had been in progress for a few weeks. That is the latest production update established here; it does not by itself determine when episodes will be ready to stream.
When will Season 3 come out?
There is no confirmed premiere date or release year. TheWrap said Apple had not announced a date as of its August 25, 2026 report. Scott said the team was trying to avoid another three-year wait, but he did not promise a timetable. Treat any dates or years offered elsewhere as estimates unless Apple announces them.

What the creator has said about the story
In a September 15, 2025 report, Tom’s Guide quoted creator, writer, and executive producer Dan Erickson saying, “We know the end, and we don’t really know how we’re getting there.” The comment describes the creative endpoint, not a Season 3 schedule or a claim that the series ends with that season.
Where to watch the existing seasons
Apple’s March 2025 renewal announcement identified Apple TV as the streaming home of the complete first and second seasons globally at that time. That dated statement does not establish current availability, subscription pricing, or terms; check Apple TV for the latest details.
