The Wildlands Perth show announced for summer 2026 took place on Saturday 3 January 2026 at Arena Joondalup. That date has passed. The next Perth edition is Saturday 2 January 2027, at the same venue, as part of Wildlands 2026/27. This article covers both: what the 2026 show featured and how it was announced, and what is known about the 2027 edition.
The 2026 Perth show: date, venue and place in the tour
Perth was the second stop of the summer 2026 run. The festival opened at Brisbane Showgrounds on New Year’s Day, and the Perth show followed the next day, Saturday 3 January 2026, at Arena Joondalup. The move from Brisbane’s usual New Year’s Eve slot to New Year’s Day was made so that all headliners could play peak set times, according to the announcement coverage. The festival is presented by Untitled Group and Beyond The Valley, with triple j as a presenting partner.
A review published by X-Press Magazine described the Perth show as the fourth Perth edition of the festival. The same review also described Arena Joondalup as a fourth consecutive new venue for Perth. Coverage I could check does not confirm the venue claim independently, so treat “new venue” as the review’s wording rather than an established history.
Headliners and lineup
The announced headliners for the 2026 Perth show were Dom Dolla, Addison Rae and Kid Cudi. Kid Cudi’s appearance was reported as his first live show in Australia in more than a decade. The wider lineup included the following acts:

#1 Best Overall
- Superior Stability & Strength: The triangular frame minimizes front-to-back and side-to-side wobble for a secure, steady seat. 15mm-thick aircraft-grade aluminum legs and reinforced plastic joints support up to 330 lbs on varied terrain.
- Lightweight & Compact: This ultralight aluminum camping chair weighs just 2.7 lbs including its carry bag. Carry it in one hand, or pack it down to strap onto or slide into a backpack. It delivers an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and is ideal for campers, hikers, backpackers, hunters, bikers, and kayakers.
- Easy Setup & Fold Away: The shock-corded frame snaps into place. Pull the base handle outward to lock the frame, then slip the seat onto the four poles. You’re seated in under a minute. Two integrated Velcro straps secure the folded poles: wrap one strap around the folded poles on one side, then repeat on the other side. The seat fabric starts snug and breaks in for easier setup.
- Engineered for Enduring Comfort: The angled seat keeps you comfortably upright for conversation yet relaxed for lounging. Breathable ripstop polyester and a weight-distributing triangular base keep you cool and supported while you chat, read, or stargaze. Settle in and enjoy.

Production changes promised for 2026
The organisers said the 2026 edition would bring new stage designs, including 360-degree “in the round” stages, four-point sound systems and elevated dance floors. These were announcement-stage promises. Coverage I reviewed does not include independent measurements of sound quality or crowd experience, so the claims are best read as the production plan rather than verified outcomes.

What is not established
No attendance, capacity or economic-impact figures were published for the 2026 Perth show in the coverage I reviewed. No direct quotes from named organisers were captured, so this article does not reproduce any. Dates and prices come from media reports of the announcements, not from the festival’s own ticketing pages, which should be checked for any change.
Wildlands Perth is a single-venue show, and the 2026/27 Perth listing names only Arena Joondalup. Anyone planning travel should confirm the venue, gate times and entry rules on the official Wildlands website before buying.

Practical next steps
- For the 2027 show, check the official Wildlands website and its linked ticketing page for current prices and availability.
- Confirm the Perth date (2 January 2027) and venue (Arena Joondalup) against the official listing, since media summaries can differ on which edition a date refers to.
- Do not rely on the 2026 price range or the 2026 sale dates for the 2027 show.
The Bottom Line
The Perth show named in the original announcement, on 3 January 2026, is over. The next Perth date is Saturday 2 January 2027 at Arena Joondalup, and current ticketing should be checked on the official Wildlands site.
