Ramona Singer was not publicly announced as an individual firing from The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY). The reports describe Bravo rebooting the series for season 14 with a new cast after season 13 was poorly received; Singer did not return. Allegations about her conduct during her final season surfaced later, but the reporting does not establish them as the official reason for her departure.
Why Ramona Singer left the original RHONY
Bravo chose to overhaul RHONY after season 13, rather than bring back the same cast for season 14. TheWrap reported that the network opted for a complete reboot, while Vanity Fair described the next version as having a brand-new cast. Singer was among those who did not return.
That distinction matters: “fired” suggests a specific individual decision and a confirmed reason. The cited coverage instead describes a cast-wide change following a poorly received season. It does not report an individual firing announcement naming Singer or establish that the later allegations caused the recasting.
What was alleged about Singer’s conduct
In an October 2023 investigation, Vanity Fair reported multiple complaints about alleged misconduct during Singer’s final RHONY season. Its reporting included allegations of remarks involving Eboni K. Williams, the show’s first Black cast member, and a Black production crew member. These are allegations reported by Vanity Fair, not established findings in the cited coverage. Singer denied key claims and disputed the accounts.

Asked by Vanity Fair whether she had used the N-word in a conversation with a Black production member, Singer replied, “Never.” That is her denial of that specific allegation; it does not independently establish what happened.
What Bravo’s reported investigation found
The Daily Beast reported that Bravo described its investigation as concluding that “nothing substantial was found.” The Daily Beast’s account does not establish that Bravo publicly fired Singer over the allegations. Read alongside the recasting reports, it is important not to present the allegations or the investigation as a confirmed explanation for why she did not return.

How the 2023 BravoCon removal was different
In October 2023, Singer was removed from the BravoCon lineup after a Page Six reporter published a text exchange. TheWrap reported that Singer denied using the slur in the exchange, though she also used an abbreviated form. This was a change to an event lineup, separate from the RHONY cast reboot that had already followed season 13; it was not her firing from the show.
Vanity Fair reported that Singer had been scheduled to promote RHONY: Legacy at BravoCon. Its coverage connects the event appearance to the series, but does not make the BravoCon removal equivalent to a departure decision about the original RHONY.
