Fans questioned Madison Errichiello’s artist identity on Love Is Blind season 8 mainly because her art was hard to find online. When paintings later circulated, many viewers judged them harshly, and that reaction fused two different questions: whether she is an artist, and whether her work is good. The reporting supports the first question being open to scrutiny. It does not settle it, and taste cannot settle it either.

What Madison said on the show

Madison appeared on season 8 of Love Is Blind and described herself as a visual artist and painter. Entertainment coverage also reported that she worked in social media management, and that her LinkedIn profile showed that role. Those two identities were the starting point for the skepticism. Viewers saw a self-description on television that did not line up neatly with what they could find online.

Why viewers struggled to verify it

The core complaint was visibility, not a verdict on her talent. Several things made her practice hard to check:

  • Her Instagram bio, as reported by Betches, said she “sometimes paints,” which reads as a hobby rather than a professional title.
  • Her artwork page had been removed before the season aired. Betches reported that Madison said she did this because she did not want to use Love Is Blind to promote herself as an artist, and because she was still refining her practice.
  • Her former art website appeared to have been taken down by the time viewers went looking, according to Distractify.

Limited discoverability is a fact about access. It shows that a viewer could not readily find a portfolio at that moment. It does not show that no work existed, and it does not show that she lacked clients or exhibitions.

What circulated after the season aired

Distractify reported that viewers located images of her paintings, including still lifes of fruit, and a post attributed to Madison thanking an event organizer for having her as a “featured artist” during Art-A-Whirl weekend. Those two items are evidence of public art activity, although the report did not independently verify the event details beyond the post itself.

Reactions to the images were frequently mocking. Those reactions came from commenters, and they are best read as audience opinion rather than as an assessment of Madison’s ability. Repeating the insults adds nothing to the question of whether she is an artist.

Madison’s response

In a TikTok posted February 25, 2025, which Betches covered the following day, Madison linked her mental health and creativity. She said she had struggled to find her creative spark, had returned to basics, and had started making prints on an iPad. According to Betches, she said the pieces being mocked were part of that exploration and were not meant for sale. She described herself as a commission-based artist who makes pieces for clients’ homes.

Betches quoted several of her lines directly. Four questions that are easy to blur

Most of the argument mixes up four separate questions. Keeping them apart shows what is supported and what is not.

Question What the reporting establishes What it does not establish
Self-description Madison called herself a visual artist and painter on the show, and a commission-based artist in her TikTok (Betches, February 2025). Whether that title reflects her income, training, or exhibition history.
Portfolio visibility Her Instagram bio said she “sometimes paints,” and her art page and website had been taken down (Betches and Distractify, February–March 2025). Whether she had a working portfolio elsewhere, or whether she has since rebuilt one.
Public practice Images of her paintings circulated, and a post described her as a featured artist at Art-A-Whirl weekend (Distractify, March 2025). Sales, commission volume, or how much of her work was made for clients.
Aesthetic judgment Many commenters mocked the paintings. Anything objective. Taste is opinion, and it is not evidence about whether someone is an artist.

Why the season context mattered

Viewers were already watching Madison closely because of her season 8 pod relationships, including her interactions with Mason Horacek, Meg Fink, and Alex Brown. In an interview, she explained her side of her conversations with Meg and Mason and acknowledged that she may have spoken on Meg’s behalf more than she should have. That context explains why viewers were primed to scrutinize her, but it is not evidence about her art, and it should not be used as a substitute for it.

What the evidence settles, and what it does not

The evidence supports three conclusions. Her professional identity was presented on television without an easily found body of work to back it up at the time. She has publicly described her practice as exploratory and commission-based. Some art activity is documented through images and a post about an event. None of that proves she is or is not an artist, because no standards body or official definition decides who qualifies.

The reporting is from February and March 2025. Social profiles, portfolio pages, and commission availability change, and the coverage does not establish what Madison’s online presence or current work looks like as of October 2026. Anyone checking today should look at her current public pages directly and weigh what they find against the four questions above.

Read this way, the fan skepticism is a fair question about visibility and presentation. The mockery of the paintings is opinion. Neither proves that she was lying about being an artist.

Taste is not a test for identity, and a skeptical reading of a reality-TV self-description can be fair without calling anyone a fraud.

Whether she is an artist depends on how you define the word, and the reporting does not offer a definition that settles it for everyone.
