Dr Disrespect is the on-stream persona of Guy Beahm, a gaming creator known for a loud, theatrical broadcast style. He built his largest audience on Twitch, which banned him in June 2020. In June 2024 he publicly acknowledged messaging a minor through Twitch Whispers in 2017, and he later announced a streaming arrangement with Rumble. This profile separates documented events, Beahm’s own account, and allegations made by others, and it marks which facts are dated.
Who Dr Disrespect is
Dr Disrespect is a performance. The name and broadcast style belong to the character, and Guy Beahm is the person behind it. Rumble’s November 2024 announcement describes his gaming audience as built around Call of Duty, H1Z1 and PUBG: Battlegrounds, and says he became known on Twitch and YouTube. This profile describes the persona as a stage style. It does not make claims about Beahm’s private personality.
Platform career: Twitch, YouTube and Rumble
His career is easiest to follow by platform and by date. The table below lists the role each platform or organization played and the most recent status the reviewed reporting establishes. Where a status is not current, the table says so.
| Platform or organization | Role in his career | Status as reported, with date |
|---|---|---|
| Twitch | His main platform before 2020 | Banned in June 2020. The reason was not publicly explained at the time, according to later reporting. The Washington Post (2024) put his following at about 4 million at the time of the ban. Current status not established. |
| YouTube | Later streaming home and source of monetization | The Washington Post (2024) reported 4.73 million subscribers in June 2024, a dated figure. YouTube suspended his Partner Program access in June 2024. Forbes reported in January 2025 that access was reinstated after a review of recent channel activity. Current status not established. |
| Midnight Society | Studio connected to his 2024 departure and the DEADROP project | Beahm was announced to step down in June 2024. Game Developer reported in January 2025 that the studio closed after three years of work on DEADROP. |
| Rumble | Announced streaming arrangement from late 2024 | Rumble announced his arrival on November 25, 2024, with a first stream planned for December 2, 2024. A Rumble channel count of 183,000 followers was visible when the page was indexed on October 8, 2026. That count is volatile and is not a verified current figure. |
The 2020 Twitch ban
Twitch banned Beahm in June 2020. Reporting that came later confirms that the company did not publicly explain the reason at the time. The ban is therefore documented as a fact, but its cause was not stated publicly until Beahm and later reports addressed the 2017 messages in 2024. Those later explanations are covered in the next section, and they should be read as accounts from Beahm and from anonymous sources rather than as a Twitch statement.

The 2024 statement and what it does and does not establish
In June 2024, after allegations from former Twitch employees became public, Beahm responded in a statement reproduced by PC Gamer. The separation between his account and the allegations matters, so each is set out below.
What Beahm said
Beahm acknowledged that he had used Twitch Whispers to message a minor in 2017. Asked directly, he answered in his June 25, 2024 statement: “Were there Twitch Whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes.” He described the exchanges as “casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate,” and said: “Now, from a moral standpoint I’ll absolutely take responsibility.” That characterization is his own.

His account of the Twitch dispute
Beahm said that nothing illegal happened, that no pictures were shared, that he never met the individual, and that he denied criminal intent. He said the Twitch dispute went through arbitration and was resolved by settlement, and that no criminal charges had been brought against him. These are his statements as reported. The reviewed sources do not include the arbitration record or the settlement terms, and nothing in this profile describes a court finding or a criminal charge.
Allegations reported from former Twitch employees
The Washington Post reported that former Twitch employees alleged the messages were sexually explicit and were connected to the ban. The Post described these reports as based on anonymous sources with knowledge of the matter. They are allegations. This profile has not reviewed the private messages, so it cannot confirm which details of Beahm’s account or of the allegations are accurate.

Consequences: Midnight Society and YouTube
Midnight Society announced that Beahm would step down in June 2024. The studio’s co-founder and studio head, Robert Bowling, told Sky News on June 26, 2024: “If you inappropriately message a minor, I cannot work with you. Period.” In January 2025, Game Developer reported that the studio had closed after three years of work on DEADROP, a project that a studio statement said more than 55 developers had worked on. The reports reviewed for this profile do not tie the closure to Beahm’s departure, so no cause is assigned here.
YouTube suspended his channel from the Partner Program in June 2024, which removed his monetization. Forbes reported in January 2025 that YouTube had reinstated his Partner Program access following a review of recent channel activity. That report dates to January 2025. It does not establish whether his monetization or streaming status is the same today.

On November 25, 2024, Rumble announced Beahm’s arrival. Rumble chairman and CEO Chris Pavlovski said in the company announcement: “Dr Disrespect will give a much-needed injection into our gaming category.” The announced terms include free streams, exclusive Rumble Premium content for subscribers, and an advisory or leadership role in Rumble Gaming. The first stream was announced for December 2, 2024.
The announcement is the primary public account of the agreement. Its contract terms, duration and payment arrangements are not published in the reviewed sources, so this profile does not describe them. Rumble Premium pricing and availability should be checked on Rumble directly.

Checking current status
- Start with each platform’s own channel page for current streams, followers and monetization. Counts quoted here are dated.
- Treat the January 2025 YouTube reinstatement and the Rumble follower count as snapshots, not as proof of present-day status.
- The reviewed reporting does not establish Twitch’s current position on Beahm, and it does not provide the private messages themselves.
Readers who want the most complete picture should weigh Beahm’s account, the anonymously sourced allegations and the dated platform records separately, since each rests on a different kind of evidence.
