Netflix has confirmed Wednesday Season 3, and production wrapped on September 30, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, Netflix has not announced a release date for the season.
Is Wednesday Season 3 officially confirmed?
Netflix announced Season 3 before Season 2 premiered, so the renewal is not a rumor or a fan-driven campaign. Netflix’s own coverage of the new season has followed it from casting through to the end of filming, and the streamer’s most recent update on the production is its September 30, 2026 Tudum report on the wrap.
Has filming finished?
Yes. Netflix’s dated production reports establish the following sequence:
| Date | What Netflix reported | Netflix Tudum report |
|---|---|---|
| November 25, 2025 | Eva Green cast as Aunt Ophelia, Morticia’s missing sister. Showrunner Miles Millar said Ophelia’s return will affect the family. | “Wednesday Season 3: Eva Green Cast as Ophelia Addams” |
| February 23, 2026 | Filming officially began near Dublin. Winona Ryder, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer were named as new cast members. | “Wednesday Season 3 Starts Production with New Cast Members Winona Ryder and More” |
| September 30, 2026 | Production wrapped. Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance were added to the announced cast, with no roles given in that article. | “Wednesday Season 3 Wraps Production With New Photo, Creators Preview Future Episodes and New Cast” |
Production returned to the Dublin area after the February start before wrapping. The September wrap article includes a photograph of Paris that Netflix presents as a hint at a possible different setting. That image is a teaser, not a filming schedule. Netflix has not said that Season 3 shot in Paris, and the image does not reveal plot details.

When will Wednesday Season 3 come out?
A wrap date tells you when cameras stopped, not when viewers can watch. Netflix’s September 30 announcement did not connect the wrap to a premiere window, and the company’s other 2026 production reports did not do so either. Any year, season or month attached to Season 3 in other coverage should be treated as speculation unless Netflix itself publishes it. The official channel to watch is Netflix Tudum, where the September 30 report and earlier production updates were published.
Who is in the Season 3 cast?
Netflix names the following returning cast members in its reports. Character names are as Netflix lists them.
