Logan Paul is an American internet personality, entrepreneur and WWE performer. He first became famous through comedy on Vine and videos on YouTube, then widened his profile through acting, boxing, his podcast IMPAULSIVE, the PRIME Hydration brand and professional wrestling. His public image has also been shaped by widely reported controversies, including a 2017 video from Japan’s Aokigahara forest and complaints about his CryptoZoo project.
How Logan Paul first became famous
Paul built his initial audience with short comedy videos on Vine before moving to YouTube. WWE’s current profile credits his channels with more than 5.8 billion views; that is WWE’s reported figure, and the profile does not describe a measurement method. The platform shift gave him room to develop a longer-form video presence and a recognizable public persona.
He then branched into acting, appearing in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark and the film The Thinning, according to WWE’s profile. His career has since crossed entertainment, sport, business and wrestling rather than remaining tied to one platform.
How his career expanded beyond YouTube
Boxing and the move into WWE
Paul entered high-profile boxing through bouts with fellow YouTuber KSI and later Floyd Mayweather Jr. WWE says he signed with the company in June 2022. Its profile lists the United States Championship and World Tag Team Championship among his career highlights and describes him as having joined The Vision in late 2025. These are WWE’s profile descriptions accessed October 8, 2026; wrestling storylines and title status can change.
Wrestling extended his reach beyond online video by placing him in a recurring sports-entertainment setting. WWE’s official profile is the source for his current roster description and the view total attributed to his channels.
IMPAULSIVE
Paul launched the podcast IMPAULSIVE in November 2018. In a July 14, 2025 announcement about the show joining the WWE and Fanatics digital content network, WWE said it had accumulated nearly one billion YouTube views and averaged 1.5 million viewers per YouTube episode. Those are figures reported by WWE at that time, not current or independently verified audience measurements. The announcement said the show would remain available on YouTube and audio platforms.

PRIME Hydration
Paul and KSI founded PRIME Hydration, giving Paul a consumer-product venture alongside his media work. In March 2024, WWE announced PRIME as its exclusive official hydration drink partner, with event branding and promotion; the Associated Press also reported the partnership and the brand’s prominent placement on WWE ring mats. These reports establish the partnership, not current product availability or any particular health benefit.
Why controversies became part of his public profile
The Aokigahara video and apology
In late 2017, Paul posted a vlog filmed in Japan’s Aokigahara forest that included footage of an apparent suicide victim. He removed the video after widespread backlash and apologized. NPR reported his video-statement apology on January 2, 2018, including this passage: “I should have never posted the video; I should have put the cameras down, stopped recording what we were going through.” The episode became a major point of criticism because of the way the video treated a sensitive real-world tragedy.

CryptoZoo criticism
CryptoZoo, a blockchain game Paul promoted, drew criticism from purchasers. TIME reported that users bought digital eggs intended to hatch into hybrid-animal NFTs, that the game did not materialize as users expected, and that purchasers complained of losses. In January 2023, Paul announced he would relinquish his stake and offer at least $1.3 million in refunds. The reporting cited here does not establish a court finding of fraud, confirm that all refunds were paid, or resolve the project’s present legal status. The complaints and Paul’s announced response should not be treated as proof about every other venture he has pursued.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why he remains widely known
Paul’s fame is the result of several overlapping sources of attention: an audience first built on social video, visibility from boxing and acting, a podcast with a substantial reported YouTube audience, a consumer brand partnership, and a prominent role in WWE. Controversies have also kept him in public discussion, sometimes for reasons separate from his entertainment or business work.
The scale figures available illustrate different things and come from WWE rather than a single independent measurement: its profile attributes more than 5.8 billion views to Paul’s channels, while its 2025 announcement reported nearly one billion cumulative YouTube views for IMPAULSIVE and an average of 1.5 million viewers per YouTube episode at that time. They should not be added together or read as current audience counts.
