How did Donnelly and Åkerman meet?
They were introduced through Åkerman’s younger sister’s boyfriend and were friends for a period before becoming romantically involved, according to Vogue’s account of their wedding.

Vogue reported that Åkerman and Donnelly married at Papaya Playa Project in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2018. Åkerman described the beach wedding as intentionally relaxed: “We just wanted a great party, so the idea [from the beginning] was to keep our wedding casual, chill, and fun.”
