A 2013 report by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency returned to the same story. Black was quoted saying, “I wish I’d had more courage to ask (her) out,” and he described Haden as “Talented, beautiful and a wonderful performer on stage.”
Marriage and timeline
The most reliable record of the marriage comes from Associated Press reporting in 2006. The CBS/AP account said the couple had started dating the previous year and quoted Tanya’s father, Charlie Haden: “They love each other very much. We’re thrilled.”
