Spoilers for all of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. The season’s prominent named deaths are Riko Amanai and Toji Fushiguro in Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, followed by Kokichi Muta (Mechamaru), Hanami, Dagon, Jogo, Kento Nanami, and Haruta Shigemo in the Shibuya Incident. Toji also dies again after being temporarily summoned in Shibuya, but he is one character, not two. This is not a complete casualty count: the Shibuya catastrophe also kills civilians and transfigured humans.
Deaths in Hidden Inventory / Premature Death
Season 2 begins with the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc, set before the main events of the series. Two major characters die in the arc:

- Riko Amanai: Toji Fushiguro shoots Riko before she can complete her role as the Star Plasma Vessel.
- Toji Fushiguro: Satoru Gojo kills Toji after their fight.
Deaths in the Shibuya Incident
The season’s longer second arc includes these prominent named deaths:
- Kokichi Muta (Mechamaru): Mahito kills him after their battle.
- Hanami: Gojo exorcises Hanami during the Shibuya battle.
- Dagon: Toji exorcises Dagon after being summoned into the incident.
- Toji Fushiguro: After recognizing Megumi, Toji takes his own life. This is his second death shown in season 2, following his earlier death at Gojo’s hands.
- Jogo: Sukuna kills Jogo.
- Kento Nanami: Mahito kills Nanami in Shibuya.
- Haruta Shigemo: Haruta dies during the Shibuya events.
Mahito is absorbed by Kenjaku after Yuji defeats him, so he is not a conventional on-screen death in the season. Shibuya also causes many deaths beyond the named characters listed here; the available sources do not establish a reliable season-wide total.

Who is not confirmed dead by the season’s end?
- Nobara Kugisaki: Mahito strikes her, leaving her critically injured, but season 2 does not definitively confirm her death.
- Satoru Gojo: Kenjaku seals Gojo in the Prison Realm. He is not killed in the season’s Shibuya events.
- Mahito: Kenjaku absorbs him after the fight with Yuji and Todo; describe his fate as absorption, not an ordinary confirmed kill.
Why season 2’s answer spans two arcs
Season 2 adapts both Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and the Shibuya Incident. Crunchyroll lists “Shibuya Incident” as episode 32, released October 5, 2023. Grouping the deaths by arc makes clear why a season-wide answer includes Riko and Toji as well as the Shibuya casualties.
