Contemporary coverage also reported that the page offered vinyl and other merchandise. The sources available do not establish whether the original campaign URL still works or where it leads today.
What the QR code linked to at the VMAs
Perry wore the QR-code design on her lower back at the 2024 VMAs. Reports published the following day described it as tattoo-like or temporary-looking; they do not establish that it was permanent ink. Hindustan Times and ELLE reported that a successful scan led to a campaign page for 143, which was scheduled for release on September 20, 2024.
ELLE noted that the code could be difficult to scan in some photographs, but reported that a successful scan reached the album site. The Independent also reported that the campaign page offered vinyl and other album merchandise. Those were campaign-page listings reported in September 2024, not confirmation that the offers remain available.
Does the old QR link still work?
Its current status is unverified. The contemporary reports establish the campaign destination at the time, but do not confirm whether the original URL still works or whether it redirects somewhere else now. A current Katy Perry Linktree is not evidence of what happens when someone visits the old campaign URL.

The documented answer is time-specific: at the 2024 VMAs, the code promoted the 143 presave campaign. That historical destination should not be confused with the code’s present-day behavior, which the cited reporting does not establish.
