In the United States, Hamnet is already available at home in three ways. Peacock announced that subscription streaming began on March 6, 2026. Digital rental and purchase opened on February 3, 2026, and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD discs followed on March 3, 2026. These dates are U.S. dates from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Peacock. They are not a worldwide release calendar.

Peacock: the streaming answer
Peacock’s launch article, written by Tara Bennett and dated March 6, 2026, states that Hamnet “streams exclusively on Peacock beginning today, March 6, 2026.” That is the answer to the question as it was asked at launch. Read it as the U.S. debut date. It does not promise that the film will stay in Peacock’s catalog. The sources used for this article do not confirm whether the film is still on Peacock in the U.S. as of October 8, 2026, and streaming catalogs change over time.

Digital rental and purchase
Universal announced digital rental and purchase from February 3, 2026, and its official title page, checked on October 8, 2026, still lists the film as available on digital. Rental length is not stated in the release materials, so check the rental terms at the point of purchase. A digital purchase is a limited license to access the film. It is not the same as owning a disc, and it should not be treated as one.
Physical discs
The 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions were released on March 3, 2026. Universal’s title page lists collector’s editions for 4K UHD and Blu-ray. The home-entertainment announcement describes bonus content that includes behind-the-scenes featurettes and a commentary by director Chloé Zhao. Edition prices and current stock are not stated in these sources.

Which option fits your situation
- You already subscribe to Peacock: Search for the film in Peacock first. This is the only option in the table that is a subscription service.
- You want one viewing without a subscription: Digital rental is the option that does not depend on Peacock, provided the rental terms suit you.
- You want to keep a copy: Choose a disc if you want a physical object. Choose a digital purchase if a license to access the film is enough.
Checking availability outside the United States
The sources behind this article cover U.S. dates only. Film rights are usually licensed country by country, so a title can be on one service in one country and unavailable in another. Check your local service’s catalog directly, and treat the dates above as U.S.-only.
