What happened with the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show?
Usher headlined the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show on February 11, 2024; Bieber did not perform. Usher later confirmed that they had discussed a possible appearance. In a February 16 interview with The Breakfast Club, he said it “didn’t work out,” that he understood, and that the show carried a lot of pressure. He added: “We’re gonna do something else in the future. No love lost or anything like that,” and said Bieber deserved to headline the show himself one day. Billboard Canada reported Usher’s comments.
