The song played during the Mingle game in Squid Game Season 2 is “Round and Round.” Netflix’s official lyric video for the track identifies it as the Mingle game song from Season 2, which is the clearest published link between the song and the scene.
Identifying the song
The Mingle sequence uses “Round and Round.” Netflix’s official channel published a lyric video titled “Mingle Game Song ‘Round and Round’ Lyric Video | Squid Game: Season 2 | Netflix,” and its description calls the track the Mingle song from Season 2. That combination of song title, official channel and explicit series association is the strongest evidence available for the answer.
Viewers often say “the Mingle song” because the game itself is called Mingle. The name refers to the track as a shorthand, and the official video title uses both phrases together.
What happens in the scene
In the Mingle game, the platform rotates while the music plays. When the music stops, players must form groups matching the number called. The song therefore works as the audible cue for the game’s rotating, stop-and-group structure. This description of the rules comes from a fan-maintained reference rather than an official production source, so treat it as scene context rather than confirmed production detail.

Where to listen, and which version to choose
Two listings are relevant, and they are not equivalent.
| Option | What it is | What it confirms | What it does not confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netflix official lyric video (Still Watching Netflix channel) | Official lyric video titled “Mingle Game Song ‘Round and Round’ Lyric Video | Squid Game: Season 2 | Netflix” | The song title and its association with the Season 2 Mingle game | Complete composer, lyricist or performer credits for the recording |
| Apple Music digital single by Club Unicorn | One-song, roughly one-minute release titled “Round and Round (Mingle Song) [From ‘Squid Game Season 2’],” released January 11, 2025, with the line ℗ 2025 Club Unicorn | That a similarly titled digital release exists under Club Unicorn’s name | That it is the exact recording heard in the series |
For hearing the song in its show context, the Netflix lyric video is the more reliable choice. If you want a standalone listening copy, the Apple Music release is a separate credited product. Do not assume it is the show’s recording; covers, remixes and independently credited versions often carry similar titles.

What is and is not established about credits
The official Netflix video identifies the song and its scene association, but the material reviewed does not give full composer, lyricist or performer credits. The Apple Music listing credits Club Unicorn for its own single, which does not settle who created or performed the recording used in the series. Readers who need credits for a specific recording should check the end credits of the episode, or the metadata on the streaming platform’s track page, rather than relying on a title match alone.
