The real property is inland, not on the Maine-like shoreline shown in the series: the screen location combines the Ontario house with Newfoundland coastal footage, practical sets and visual effects.
Where is Beck’s mansion in real life?
The main real-world property used to portray the estate is Escarpment House in Caledon, Ontario, in the Greater Toronto Area. TVLine reported on February 21, 2025, that the bulk of the location was “played by” the house. The publication described it as a 14,000-square-foot luxury estate; that figure is TVLine’s reported description, not an independently confirmed measurement. TVLine

The actual house sits among farmland and forests in low hills, with a view toward Toronto—not beside the sea. It also lacks story features such as the guardhouse and shoreline. WeFX
Was the mansion filmed on the Maine coast?
No. The coast beside the estate is fictional screen geography. The production paired Ontario footage of the house with coastal imagery filmed in Newfoundland, then used visual effects to make the locations read as one Maine estate. The house and coast are therefore not a single real filming location.

Alan Ritchson, the series star and an executive producer, told TVLine that the crew spent months scouting and took helicopter trips along the East Coast of the United States and Canada. He said the production ultimately had to combine the house with Newfoundland and coastlines from elsewhere to create the setting. TVLine
How the screen estate was assembled
Ontario house and grounds
WeFX describes using Ontario footage, reference photography and LiDAR scans of the property and grounds to build the estate environment. The real house supplied the central visual reference, but the finished views could be adjusted to fit the story’s coastal setting. WeFX

Newfoundland cliffs and digital blending
Coastal footage shot in Newfoundland supplied the cliffs and ocean imagery. In a July 9, 2025 interview with Digital Media World, WeFX visual-effects supervisor Rachel Beniuk described the challenge as making the Ontario house footage, Newfoundland cliffs and set sequences fit together. She said the team created an “invisible line” between locations and adapted terrain from shot to shot, including adding ocean views digitally. Digital Media World
Sets and computer-generated shots
Not every scene used the same combination of real footage and effects. WeFX says some sequences were filmed on practical sets, while CG elements—or a fully computer-generated version of the house—could be used according to the needs of a particular shot. The available production accounts do not provide a complete scene-by-scene map of which elements appear in each shot.

Why the estate looks different from the real property
The series adapts Lee Child’s novel Persuader, whose fictional estate belongs in the story’s Maine setting. Skydance’s Season 3 page identifies the novel as the source. The show’s coastal views are thus part of the adaptation’s constructed geography, rather than evidence that Escarpment House is a seaside property.
Escarpment House is a private property, and the cited production accounts do not establish that it is open to visitors or offers tours or stays. The filming location is useful context for understanding the series, but those sources do not support planning a visit.
