HGTV/WBD announced a second season for its 2025–2026 programming slate, and a July 14, 2026 report said filming was underway. That report did not give a premiere date, so an exact return date is not established here.
Did Christina Hall and Josh Hall’s divorce cancel The Flip Off?
No. The divorce changed the show’s on-screen lineup rather than ending the series. The Associated Press reported that Christina started filming with Josh as her teammate, that they split shortly afterward, and that Josh exited the show.
Christina continued, joined by friends who had worked with her behind the scenes. Her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, also appeared. The reported change in teams, alongside the show’s house-by-house competition format, suggests the series could continue without Christina and Josh appearing as a couple.
What is the status of The Flip Off Season 2?
HGTV/WBD included a second season—described in its announcement as an “epic sophomore season”—in its 2025–2026 programming slate. The network named Tarek El Moussa, Christina Haack, and Heather Rae El Moussa as featured cast members. Haack is Christina Hall’s professional name; the announcement does not, by itself, establish the exact team arrangement for the new season.

In a July 14, 2026 report, CinemaBlend said Christina had confirmed in March that season two was still filming. The report also quoted Heather Rae El Moussa saying filming was underway, with occasional pauses while renovation work caught up. The article had no return date to report. That is the latest dated production update cited here, not confirmation that the schedule remains unchanged after July 2026.
HGTV/WBD said the first season attracted nearly 14 million viewers across linear and streaming in its 2025 announcement. That number is the network’s audience claim, not an independently verified total.

How does The Flip Off work?
The Associated Press describes the series as a competition between two renovation teams. They scout a house to buy, renovate it room by room, and sell it. Guest judges critique the work; the team with the greater flip profit wins a paid vacation and bragging rights. The AP also reports that the three real-estate-agent cast members are co-producers.
With the competition built around teams and renovation projects, the format does not depend on Christina and Josh remaining married. The reported cast change shows how the show continued after their split; it does not establish exactly who will partner with whom in season two.
