Where the 2025 ceremony aired
CBS
The ceremony aired live on the CBS Television Network. CBS announced the June 8, 2025 date in a September 23, 2024 release from the American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards, which produces the event.
Paramount+
In the event announcement, the ceremony was also streamed in the United States on Paramount+. The access terms announced for 2025 were:
#1 Best Overall
- Paramount+ with SHOWTIME: live and on-demand access.
- Paramount+ Essential: on-demand access the day after the special aired.
These were the terms for the 2025 event. They are not current subscription terms, and they do not establish that a replay is still available today.
Who hosted and what the ceremony honored
Cynthia Erivo hosted the 78th Annual Tony Awards. The ceremony honored the 2024–2025 Broadway season.
Finding the start time for a future ceremony
Tony Awards dates and broadcast times change from year to year, so a 2025 start time does not carry over to later ceremonies. To confirm the time for a future year:
- Check the official Tony Awards site at tonyawards.com for the announced broadcast date.
- Look for the network’s own listing, which for recent ceremonies has been CBS, and confirm the Eastern and Pacific start times there.
- Check your streaming service’s schedule for live and on-demand terms before the event, since those terms can differ by plan.
When a pre-show is listed, treat it as a separate program and check whether its time is listed separately from the main broadcast.
