The lipstick with the strongest public backing is NARS Morocco. Swift’s longtime makeup artist, Lorrie Turk, confirmed the shade in coverage published on October 1 and 2, 2024. Morocco is a warm cinnamon rather than the bright blue-red many people picture when they think of Swift’s red lip, and it is one of several reds linked to her, not a single signature product.
The shade Turk confirmed
Taylor Swift Style reported on October 1, 2024 that Turk had confirmed NARS Morocco. In the article, Sarah Chapelle quotes the makeup artist’s comment that Swift has “worn it for years.” NewBeauty ran the same confirmation on October 2, 2024, naming the product NARS The Original Lipstick in Morocco and describing the color as a warm cinnamon.
Two points matter when you repeat this. The confirmation is Turk’s, as relayed by those publications, not a direct statement from Swift. And “for years” describes long-term use; it does not establish that Morocco is the only lipstick she wears.
Original formula and the same-shade alternative
Glamour (Danielle Sinay, October 1, 2024) distinguished the original formula from another product in the same color. The comparison below reflects how each name appears in the coverage.

Because the formulas differ, the Air Matte version gives the same color in a different texture; it is not the original lipstick. The discontinuation statement dates from 2024, so check current US and international retailer listings before buying either product.
Other reds linked to Swift
Pat McGrath Labs Elson
NewBeauty reports that Swift has also worn two Pat McGrath red shades in Elson: Pat McGrath LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick and MatteTrance Lipstick. Elson is a vivid blue-red, so it reads as the classic red look rather than Morocco’s cinnamon. These are reported wear, separate from the artist confirmation of Morocco.

Smashbox and M·A·C in a documentary scene
Vogue (Calin Van Paris and Margaux Anbouba, December 23, 2025) describes a documentary scene in which Swift appears to line her lips with Smashbox’s Be Legendary Line and Prime Pencil in True Red, then top the look with M·A·C’s Locked Kiss Lipstick, “likely in shade Ruby True.” Both identifications come from what is visible on screen. The pencil is described as what “appears to be” the product, and the M·A·C shade is a likely match. Neither is confirmed by Swift or an artist in that coverage.

- To match the artist-confirmed shade: start with NARS Morocco. If you find the original formula unavailable, NARS Air Matte Lip Color in Morocco is the same shade in another formula.
- To match the classic bright red: look at Pat McGrath Elson in LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick or MatteTrance Lipstick.
