In an April 2025 video from a tour day, Jelly Roll said he eats two meals and one snack. His nutrition coach, Ian Larios, prepared the three items: a Waffle House-inspired hashbrown bowl, a peanut-butter-cookie-dough snack with banana, and a protein-focused take on poutine. That is a dated account of one day on the road. It is not a verified current daily menu, and it is not a complete weight-loss plan.
The tour day, meal by meal
Prevention reported the video on April 7, 2025. Jelly Roll opened it by saying that on the road he eats two meals and one snack a day, and Larios demonstrated the cooking. Here is what the report describes, in the order it was shown.
Meal one: the hashbrown bowl
- Potatoes were grated, their moisture drained, and then cooked in beef tallow. They were air-fried at the end to finish.
- Bell peppers and chicken sausage were cooked with bone broth.
- Sauerkraut was added to the bowl.
Jelly Roll said, “This all started because I love Waffle House.” He credited the coach with making the food taste good and also good for his stomach.
The snack: peanut-butter-cookie-dough bites with banana
The snack was peanut-butter-cookie-dough bites served with sliced banana. Larios described it as the one snack Jelly Roll looked forward to.

Meal two: “protein poutine”
- Homemade fries.
- Dairy-free cashew cheese curds.
- Pressure-cooked chicken thighs.
- Gravy made from bone broth, peppers, chicken sausage, and rice flour, blended with an immersion blender. The report names the tool but no brand or model.
After tasting it, Jelly Roll said, “Yo, them cheese curds are fire.”
What the account does not establish
The report is a recipe walkthrough, not a nutrition breakdown. It does not state the portion sizes, calories, grams of protein, or any other macro totals for these meals. It also does not say whether the same three items repeat on non-tour days. Nothing in it proves that this menu caused any part of his weight change.

Healthline published its article on October 28, 2024, reporting that Jelly Roll had announced a 100-pound milestone. The article describes his efforts as including support for food addiction, a high-protein diet, exercise, and a nutrition coach. It quotes him from his October 14, 2024 appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast: “I’m a food addict, man.” The expert commentary in that article is general context. It is not an analysis of why his own results happened.

April 2025: 140 pounds
The Prevention article, published April 7, 2025, reported that he had lost 140 pounds by that point. That is a later and separate milestone from the 100 pounds reported in October 2024.
2026: the long-form feature
A 2026 Men’s Health feature describes his goal as getting healthy. It reports that he sought mental-health therapy for overeating and received medical support. It covers meal timing and real foods, and it describes Larios creating meals from ingredients Jelly Roll liked. According to the feature, the coach cooked for him most days, and a custom mobile kitchen was built for tours. This feature confirms the broader support around his eating. It does not confirm that the April 2025 menu is still his daily routine.

Reported eating accounts compared
Earlier coach-reported days also appear in other coverage. An Independent report from 2024 describes a banana-based pre-show snack and a modified Nashville hot chicken meal. Those are different occasions from the April 2025 video, so they should be read as separate examples, not as parts of one menu.

How to read any “what he eats” account
- Check the date and setting. A tour-day video is not the same as a general weekly routine.
- Check who is speaking. Jelly Roll’s own remarks, a coach’s description, and a reporter’s summary carry different weight.
- Check what is measured. Ingredient lists are not portion sizes, and neither is a calorie total.
- Do not combine days. Meals from different occasions do not add up to one daily menu.
Used this way, the April 2025 video is a useful look at how one coach built tour meals around foods Jelly Roll liked. It is not a measured daily diet.
