Derry Girls ended with its third and final series. Since then, its five central young cast members—Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell and Dylan Llewellyn—have taken on a mix of television, film and documentary work. The credits below are selected examples reported by IrishCentral in September 2025, with a later update on Harland’s The Walsh Sisters; they are not a complete, live filmography for every actor.
Is Derry Girls over?
Yes. Channel 4’s press pack identifies the show’s third series as its final one. The ensemble at its center was Saoirse-Monica Jackson as Erin Quinn, Louisa Harland as Orla McCool, Nicola Coughlan as Clare Devlin, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell as Michelle Mallon and Dylan Llewellyn as James Maguire.
In a Channel 4 interview, Coughlan reflected on saying goodbye to the characters: “It’s sad to think that we’ll never play these characters again, but at the same time you want to send it off in the right way, on a high.”
What has each Derry Girls actor done since the show?
Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Erin Quinn)
IrishCentral’s September 2025 roundup lists Jackson’s screen work in The Flash (2023), The Decameron (2024), This City is Ours and The Trial. These are selected credits in that article, not confirmation of her newest role as of October 2026.

Louisa Harland (Orla McCool)
Harland played the lead in Disney+’s Renegade Nell and was cast as Anna Walsh in The Walsh Sisters. A February 2026 Woman & Home report describes the six-part adaptation as drawing on Marian Keyes’s novels Rachel’s Holiday and Anybody Out There?, and says it aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK from February 21, 2026. Harland described the part as “probably the closest I’ve got to playing myself.” The novels are source material for the adaptation, not a tie-in or its sole source.
Nicola Coughlan (Clare Devlin)
IrishCentral’s 2025 roundup reports that Coughlan continued as Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton, appeared as Diplomat Barbie in Barbie and worked on Big Mood. The same article mentioned Goat and The Magic Faraway Tree as future releases at that time; it does not establish their current release status.

Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (Michelle Mallon)
IrishCentral lists O’Donnell’s documentary The Real Derry: Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, the film Unwelcome and 2025 appearances in The Feud and Leonard and Hungry Paul, where the article says she plays Shelley. It also notes her appearance in Kneecap’s “Sayōnara” music video.
Dylan Llewellyn (James Maguire)
The September 2025 roundup points to Llewellyn’s lead roles in Pistol, Big Boys and Beyond Paradise. That reporting does not establish which credit, if any, is his newest as of October 2026.

How to read these career updates
The available reporting gives a snapshot rather than a standardized comparison: it spans returning television roles, new series, film, documentary and a music video, but does not supply a complete, consistently updated filmography for all five actors. The 2025 credits should therefore be read as reported work, not as a definitive list of what each actor is doing today.
