As of October 2026, the available official sources confirm one clear current cast update: D’Arcy Carden is listed by Hulu as appearing in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, alongside her former co-star Kristen Bell. The sources do not establish a reliable current-project update for the other principal actors, so this guide separates that confirmed credit from older work and avoids presenting past roles as current jobs.
Who was in The Good Place?
The principal ensemble was Kristen Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, Ted Danson as Michael, William Jackson Harper as Chidi Anagonye, Jameela Jamil as Tahani Al-Jamil, D’Arcy Carden as Janet, and Manny Jacinto as Jason Mendoza. Disney+ lists the comedy as a four-season series spanning 2016 to 2019. Peacock gives the more precise premiere and finale dates: September 19, 2016, and January 30, 2020. The difference reflects how the services label the series’ run; it is most simply described as a four-season show that concluded in 2020. Disney+ series listing; Peacock series page.

What is D’Arcy Carden doing now?
Hulu’s biography says Carden “can currently be seen” in Nobody Wants This, the Netflix series it describes as a reunion with Kristen Bell. This is the clearest current cast update in the available official sources. Because the page’s statement is not dated, it should be read as Hulu’s description, not as confirmation of the show’s availability or status in every region in October 2026. Hulu’s D’Arcy Carden biography.
The same biography records earlier credits that are useful context, but not current jobs: Carden made her Broadway debut in The Thanksgiving Play in 2023, and the film The Gutter was released in 2024. Hulu’s D’Arcy Carden biography.

What about Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, and Manny Jacinto?
The official sources available for this update do not establish a dated current-project summary for these five actors. Hulu’s Carden biography connects Bell to Nobody Wants This, but that association alone does not establish Bell’s broader current work. The available Warner Bros. Discovery page for Jamil presents retrospective credits rather than a dependable present-day update. Hulu’s D’Arcy Carden biography; Warner Bros. Discovery’s Jameela Jamil biography.
Accordingly, no older role or biography credit is being treated here as evidence of what Bell, Danson, Harper, Jamil, or Jacinto is doing now. A current cast roundup needs dated project announcements or recently updated official biographies for each actor; without those, a more specific claim would risk confusing past work with ongoing work.
