What phrase is Luigi known for?
“It’s Luigi time!” is a familiar Luigi-associated phrase. Nintendo Denmark used it as the headline of a Luigi-focused article published on September 11, 2024: Nintendo Denmark’s “It’s Luigi time!”. That is clear evidence Nintendo used the wording in promotion, not proof that it is Luigi’s one canonical line of dialogue.
Is “It’s Luigi time!” Luigi’s official catchphrase?
The available official material supports calling it a Nintendo promotional phrase associated with Luigi. It does not declare it his definitive spoken catchphrase, so the most accurate answer is that Luigi has familiar associated lines, but no single canonical catchphrase is established by these sources.
What other lines are associated with Luigi?
A fan-maintained quote list attributes “Luigi time!” and “I’m-a Luigi, number one!” to him. Because this is a community-maintained list rather than an official Nintendo reference, treat these as lines attributed to Luigi, not as verified universal catchphrases: the Luigi quote list.

Why do answers vary?
“Catchphrase” can mean a slogan used in promotion or a line a character repeats in a game. Nintendo’s headline supports the promotional use of “It’s Luigi time!”; the fan-maintained list offers examples attributed to dialogue. Neither source ranks these lines or establishes one as exclusive to Luigi across his appearances.
