Her remarks about wanting Castle and Beckett to become a couple concerned the fictional characters, not an off-screen romance. The interviews and contemporaneous reports cited here do not establish that Katic confirmed a real-life feud.
What Katic said about working with Fillion
In an interview republished by Stanatics Brasil and attributed to Alibi, Katic described Fillion as experienced and at ease working in television. The Portuguese transcript says: “Nathan Fillion tem feito televisão por muito tempo, então ele fica bastante a vontade quando está trabalhando.” A translation is: “Nathan Fillion has been doing television for a long time, so he is quite comfortable when he is working.” The transcript goes on to credit his sense of the situation and the writing and scene work with helping create natural chemistry. Because this is a republication rather than the original Alibi page, its attribution should be understood in that context: Stanatics Brasil’s interview transcript.

An Extra interview from March 14, 2012, also addressed Katic’s chemistry with Fillion, though the page provides limited transcript detail: Extra’s interview coverage.
Her comments about Castle and Beckett were about the story
In a TVLine interview published September 21, 2012, Katic said she had advocated for Castle and Beckett to become a couple because, in her view, romantic tension could only be prolonged so far. She added, “If we prolonged that, it would just be unplayable, unbearable.” She was talking about the fictional characters and the show’s storyline, not describing a private relationship with her co-star: TVLine’s interview with Katic.

What was said publicly when Katic left Castle
When Katic’s departure was reported in April 2016, Fillion called her his partner, thanked her for creating Beckett, wished her well, and said she would be missed. TVLine reported his statement: “Stana has been my partner all this time, and I thank her for creating the character of Beckett. I wish her well, and have no doubt she will succeed in everything she pursues. She will be missed.” This is evidence of what Fillion said publicly; it cannot, by itself, establish the private state of their relationship: TVLine’s report on Fillion’s response.
During the cancellation announcement period in May 2016, Katic thanked the show’s fans, cast, and crew. ABC News quoted her handwritten note: “Your devotion to our show has carried us through these unforgettable 8 seasons,” and “I will always be grateful.” Her message addressed the people who supported the series; it was not a statement confirming a dispute with Fillion: ABC News’ report on the cancellation and cast responses.

Do these comments confirm a feud?
No. The direct remarks and contemporaneous reports cited here show Katic speaking positively about working with Fillion, discussing the characters’ romantic arc, and thanking the people involved with Castle. Fillion’s public statement at her departure was also appreciative. None of these sources substantiates a direct confirmation by Katic of a private feud. That is a limit on what these public statements establish, not proof of what either actor privately felt.
It is useful to separate the evidence into three categories:
