What did Mulroney do after Friends?
The Gavin appearance was a brief stop in a career already established in film, not a turning point after which Mulroney vanished. Rotten Tomatoes’ career profile traces his path from independent films and the romantic lead in My Best Friend’s Wedding to character roles in Lovely & Amazing and About Schmidt. In 2005, he returned to romantic comedies with The Wedding Date, Must Love Dogs, and The Family Stone.
His work continued across film and television. Representative TV credits include New Girl, Shameless, Hanna, and Secret Invasion; film examples include Scream VI and Anyone But You. These titles illustrate the range of his work rather than an exhaustive list.

Rotten Tomatoes’ filmography includes listings through 2025, among them Blackwater Lane, Depravity, Lights Out, Long Shadows, Killing Mary Sue, When I’m Ready, and Like Father, Like Son. A filmography listing does not by itself establish whether a project has been released, is upcoming, or has another status, so those titles are best treated as listed credits rather than claims about what he is currently filming.
