Elvis Presley’s Convair 880, the Lisa Marie, and his smaller Lockheed JetStar, Hound Dog II, are both on display at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Graceland announced in 2015 that the aircraft would remain there permanently, and its current airplane page says tours include them.
What happened to Elvis’s airplanes?
Both aircraft remain at Graceland, where visitors can see them as part of the airplane-tour experience. Graceland said on April 26, 2015, that an agreement had been reached for the Lisa Marie and Hound Dog II to stay at the Memphis site permanently. The announcement also said the planes had been available for tours since 1984. Graceland’s airplane page currently lists the aircraft among its tour experiences.
What was the Lisa Marie?
The Lisa Marie was a 1958 Convair 880 that Elvis purchased in April 1975 and named for his daughter. Graceland says he spent more than $800,000 remodeling it. Its description notes a living room, conference room, sitting room and private bedroom, as well as gold-plated seat belts, suede chairs, leather-covered tables and sinks with 24-karat gold flecks. These are details of its interior as described by Graceland, not a current condition report.
What was Hound Dog II?
Hound Dog II was Elvis’s smaller Lockheed JetStar. Graceland says he customized its interior in yellow and green, and that the jet was used mainly to transport his manager and staff between cities during concert tours. It served a different role from the larger Lisa Marie: it was principally a staff-travel aircraft, according to Graceland’s description.

Yes. Graceland’s airplane page says a tour of the aircraft is included with its tour experiences. Tour offerings and practical visit details can change, so check Graceland’s current airplane information when planning a visit.
What is known about their later condition?
Graceland reported on June 20, 2018, that the aircraft were being repainted. That dated update establishes that repainting work was reported at the time; it does not establish their present paint, maintenance condition or airworthiness. The available official information also does not give a complete ownership history after Elvis’s death or the terms of the agreement announced in 2015.
