Why some lists say there are seven tribes
The first five books introduce the seven tribes of Pyrrhia: SandWings, MudWings, SkyWings, SeaWings, IceWings, RainWings, and NightWings. The later story expands to Pantala, whose three tribes are SilkWings, LeafWings, and HiveWings. Scholastic describes the Pantalan storyline as beginning with book eleven and continuing afterward. The ten-tribe count includes both continents.
